Jagged Magazine holds the privacy of children with particular importance. We will never knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. We continually strive to make our site a safer and more secure user experience.

Purpose

The purpose of this privacy policy is to describe the types of information Jagged Magazine collects, the methods used to collect that information and how that information is used by this Web site. This policy is intended to provide you the reader the necessary information in which to make informed decisions about whether or not to use this site. This policy only applies to this site. Our site may have links to other third-party sites such as a musician's web site, artist's online portfolio, music distribution channels or online book stores. Please read these site's respective privacy policies. The terms of this policy are subject to change without notice as new Internet technology becomes available, marketing trends change, site traffic increases etc. Please bookmark this page and review it often. Definitions

There are two basic types of information that we may collect:

  • Web site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our site.
  • Personal information that you the reader knowingly and voluntarily provide in order to access certain functionality of the site.
Web site use information:
  • The IP address of the computer accessing the Site.
  • The IP address of the server if you linked to ours from another site.
  • The operating system and browser version of the computer accessing the site and the time, date and length of stay on the site.

IP Addresses:
We collect and analyze traffic on our web site by keeping track of the IP addresses of our visitors. IP addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are assigned to each computer browser accessing the Internet. An IP address, by itself, cannot identify you personally. However, when combined with other information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your IP address can be used to identify the computer originating a message.

The above information is used so that we may provide a better user experience with more relevant content. Only general statistics such as total number of visitors per month may be shared with outside marketing agencies. Your identity is never known to us and will never be shared with any third party.

Personal Information:
  • Name, address, telephone number, email address and fax number that you the visitor of the site provide. An example of this is an HTML form that you fill out in order to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter or RSS feeds.
  • Name and contact information if you are an Artist. Band name and contact information if you are a musician. This information may be submitted via an HTML form in order to have your art or music reviewed by us and added to our searchable database.
  • E-mail correspondence.
  • Newsletter. Visitors who sign up for our e-mail newsletter may occassionaly receive offers for exclusive merchandise only available to them. If you no longer wish to receive such offers simply reply with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Cookies:
"Cookies" are small pieces of information or data sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies to count the number of unique and return visits to our site. We also may contract with third parties who may use cookies and collect such information on our behalf. Jagged Media ("Jagged Magazine") does not use or have access to this information. Exceptions:
Some sections of the Site such as CD Reviews, Book Reviews etc., may link to external third-party sites to facilitate purchases. These links (either graphical images, text or a combination of both) will be clearly labeled using language such as "Buy CD Now", "Available at...", "Purchase this product at..." etc.
When leaving our site via one of these links you are no longer subject to this privacy policy. Please read these sites' respective privacy policies carefully.

We reserve the right to release any information public or private to local, state, federal or international law enforcement agencies if required to do so by law.
